I will endlessly declare that the best men to date are those who grew up in the Midwest, but had the good sense and ability to move away.

Why?

1) they have the down-to-earth, solid Midwestern values.
2) the usually have a great family values
3) they are smart and upwardly mobile because they were able to leave the Midwest
4) they look cornfed -- tall, broad, and wonderfully built.

Put all of those aspects together, and you have a fantastic guy to date.

Dan was no different. Though he wasn't necessarily. He was tall, funny, a but cornfed looking for sure. He also is very smart, and works for a small investment business in Southern California.

Oh and he had great dark hair and bright blue eyes.

Regardless he lives in Cali, is a bit young, and not really my type. But still fabulous.
